Call Waiting
A Call Waiting tone indicates that a second caller is attempting to reach you while you are presently on the phone. You can simply ignore the Call Waiting tone and the caller will be routed to your voicemail box where he/she can leave a message.
If you would like to answer the second call:
- Press the green SEND button. This places the current call on hold and allows you to answer the second call.
- press the green SEND button again to return to your original call.
Caller ID
Caller ID is automatically displayed on your cellular phone when you receive a call. An indication of “Private” or “Unknown” indicates that the calling party has restricted his/her outgoing Caller ID information.
Your cellular phone number is automatically delivered to your calling party when you place calls from your mobile phone. If you do not wish for your phone number to be displayed to callers when you make calls from your cellular handset, you may subscriber to our Caller ID Block feature. Please contact Customer Service to learn more about this feature.
Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding can be enabled so that calls are forwarded immediately (Immediate Call Forwarding) without first attempting to ring your cellular handset, or that they are forwarded after attempting to ring your handset and when there is no answer (No Answer Call Forwarding).
Immediate Call Forwarding
- From your cellular handset, press *72 followed by the 10 digit number you wish to have calls forwarded to and press SEND
- Listen for two beeps to confirm the feature is now active
- Press END after hearing the two beeps
To disable Call Forwarding:
- press *720 and press SEND
- Listen for two beeps to confirm the feature has been deactivated
- Press END after hearing the two beeps
No Answer Call Forwarding
- From your cellular handset, press *71 followed by the 10 digit number you wish to have calls forwarded to and press SEND
- Listen for two beeps to confirm the feature is now active
- Press END after hearing the two beeps
To disable Call Forwarding:
- press *710 and press SEND
- Listen for two beeps to confirm the feature has been deactivated
- Press END after hearing the two beeps
3-Way Calling
3-Way Calling allows you to speak with two different parties at the same time.
To enable 3-Way Calling from your cellular handset:
- Enter the 10 digit number you wish to call
- After the call is answered, press SEND/TALK. This will allow you to dial the next number
- Enter the 10 digit number you wish to call next
- After the call is answered, press SEND/TALK. This will connect all parties together
Checking Voicemail
You may check voicemail from your cellular phone or from any other telephone.
Option 1: From your cellular phone
- Dial *86 from your cellular phone*
- Enter your password when prompted, followed by the # sign
- A recording will indicate whether or not you have new messages
- From the Main Menu, Option 11 will allow you to listen to new messages, while Option 1 will allow you to play stored messages
Option 2: From another phone
- From a landline phone or other mobile phone, dial your cellular number.
- When you hear the voicemail announcement, press # to interrupt the greeting.
- You will be prompted for your password. Enter your password.
- You will now be routed to the Main Menu of your voicemail service.
- From the Main Menu, Option 11 will allow you to listen to new messages, while Option 1 will allow you to play stored messages
- Note: Checking voicemail from you cellular phone will decrement from included minutes and in the vent of usage in excess of included minutes, normal overage charges will apply.
- *Dialing *86 from the cellular phone may not work in some areas while roaming. In this event, you may access your voicemail from your cellular phone by dialing your own 10-digit cellular number.
Setting Up your Voicemail Box
You may set up you new voicemail box from your cellular phone or from any other telephone.
Option 1: From your cellular phone
- From a cellular phone, dial *86 and press SEND/TALK*.
Option 2: From another phone
- From a landline phone, dial your cellular number.
- An automated mailbox recording will announce that the person called is unavailable. Interrupt this recording by pressing the # key.
- You will be prompted to enter a “temporary” password. Enter the last four digits of your cellular phone number followed by the # key.
- You will then be prompted to enter a new permanent 4-digit password, followed by the number key. Once you establish your new password, voice prompts will guide you through recording a personal greeting.
- After establishing your personal greeting, a recording will notify you of the deleted message recovery feature. Be sure to listen to this recording in its entirety and press 2 to continue. This completes your mailbox set-up and you may begin using voicemail.
- Note: Checking voicemail from you cellular phone will decrement from included minutes and in the vent of usage in excess of included minutes, normal overage charges will apply.

Text Messaging
From your phone:
Text messages may be sent to Cellular One of NEPA customers or customers of other cellular service providers from your cellular phone as follows:
- From your mobile phone menu, go to Messaging and select the option to Create Message. This feature may vary from phone to phone, so please consult your instruction manual or visit our retail store for assistance.
- Enter the mobile number you are messaging in the appropriate field
- Enter the text of your message in the designated message area
- Press SEND to send your message
From Email:
- Text messages to Cellular One of NEPA customers may be sent by email as follows:
- From your any email account, select the option to create a new email.
- In the “To” field, enter the 10-digit-mobile number you would like to message, followed by “@sms.cellularonenepa.com. For example, 5701111111@sms.cellularonenepa.com.

Text messages to Cellular One of NEPA customers may be sent from the www.cellularonenepa.com website as follows:
- Point your browser to the Cellular One of NEPA homepage at: www.cellularonenepa.com
- Select the option to Send a Text Message
- Enter the 10-digit mobile number you are messaging, along with the text of your message in the indicated fields, and press SEND
- Please Note: Messages have a maximum character limit of 160 characters, including spaces and punctuations. If your message is longer that 160 characters, the message will be truncated and delivered as two or more separate messages.
Picture & Video Messaging
You may send Pictures, Video Clips and Audio Files from your cellular handset to other cellular handsets as follows:
- From your mobile phone menu, go to Messaging and select the option to Create New Picture Message. This feature may vary from phone to phone, so please consult your instruction manual or visit our retail store for assistance.
- Enter the mobile number you are messaging in the appropriate field
- Enter the text of your message in the designated message area
- Attach the Image, Video, or Audio clip you wish to send
- Press SEND to send your message
- Multi-media Messaging services must be enabled on your line of service in order to send/receive picture, video, or audio messages. Standard messaging charges may apply.
Web Browsing
Certain cellular handsets are enabled with the ability to browse the Internet. Browse the Internet from your cellular handset as follows:
- From the cellular handset menu, select “Browser” or “Start Browser” and press SEND/OK. This option may vary from phone to phone, so please consult your instruction manual or visit one of our retail locations for assistance.
- Your cellular handset browser will be routed to the Cellular One of NEPA Mobile Homepage. This homepage will display various quick links including:
- Ring tones & More
- Myspace & Social Networks
- NEPA Info
- Weather & Travel
- Search
- News
- Sports
- Email & IM
- Entertainment
- To navigate away from your Mobile Homepage, select “Options” or “Menu” from your cellular handset menu. This will offer various options, including:
- Home: takes you back to the Mobile Homepage from any page
- Back: takes you back one page in your browsing history
- Bookmarks: allows you to select a page you have bookmarked
- Go To URL: allows you to type in a web address
- Refresh: refreshes the current web page
- History: displays your browsing history
- Clear Memory: clears your browsing history
- Search- allows you to search the internet
- Send Link- allows you to send a link to another user
- Show URL- displays the address for the web page you are viewing
- Save Items- allows you to save an image or item on a page
All users with web capable phones can view the Cellular One of NEPA Mobile Homepage from their cellular handsets at no additional charge. Only those customers who subscribe to a Mobile Web plan are able to view the internet.
